InventionShare Announces AcceleRoute's™ New Energy Efficient Time-Coherent Global Network Switches and Routers for Multi-National Data Centers

Time-Coherent Global Network

Mr. Greg Waite, CEO of InventionShare, announced the release of AcceleRoute's new green energy efficient Time-Coherent Global Network switches and routers for multi-national and global data centers today.

Mr. Greg Waite, CEO of InventionShare, announced the release of AcceleRoute’s new green energy efficient Time-Coherent Global Network switches and routers for multi-national and global data centers today. Speaking from the company’s Ottawa office, Mr. Waite says that AcceleRoute is a very new innovative yet elegant architecture.

The AcceleRoute invention portfolio is nine invention families comprised of 19 issued US patents and 11 applications. The CTO is very credible, with over 100 patents filed and significant industry experience at Nortel. AcceleRoute addresses all the key drivers for data center evolution, namely performance, throughput and lower energy costs. A hundred per cent of control traffic and 80% of data traffic has only one hop; there is less network congestion and complexity; it is easier to manage and expand; and there is better utilization of ports and, importantly, much less power consumption and better overall performance. The technology can be implemented on a single or multiple router design as a data center or in a data center and co-exist with current technology.

"We have these patents available now for those companies that want to reduce power consumption, increase capacity, and who want a less complex design and are looking for higher throughput, no queuing and less latency - which all lead to less processing time and processing costs."

Greg Waite, CEO, InventionShare

The new green energy efficient Time-Coherent Global Network switches and routers for multi-national and global data centers make up the second family of patents in the AcceleRoute portfolio and target a data network with global or multi-national coverage; it is scalable to an access capacity of hundreds of petabits per second with coverage of the order of 100,000 access nodes (edge nodes). The structure of this type of data network permits gradual growth from a very small fraction of the attainable capacity to full capacity and full coverage without disrupting the network during transition. The structural simplicity and ease of control facilitate partitioning the network among numerous constituent networks.

Mr. Waite said. “A network of a capacity exceeding 1000 Pb/s is realizable with these designs; this capacity is more than two orders of magnitude larger than the imagined capacity of current designs. The key differentiator is that all control data and the bulk of payload data traverse one only hop. This is significant, as the payload data is buffered only at the edge; en route buffering - a major source of routing problems - is eliminated.  The network structure is SDN-friendly and facilitates both distributed and centralized control. We have these patents available now for those companies that want to reduce power consumption, increase capacity, and who want a less complex design and are looking for higher throughput, no queuing and less latency - which all lead to less processing time and processing costs.”

InventionShare is interested in partnering exclusively with one major company or a consortium. The patents can be purchased and InventionShare is interested in an outright portfolio purchase with a modest carried interest in sub-licensing programs.  For information on licensing, contact Keith Taylor at ktaylor@inventionshare.com
