InventionShare Announces 5by5 Wireless Is Now Able to Provide Hybrid LTE and DOCSIS 3.1 Installations

5by5 Wireless will soon have LTE and DOCSIS 3.1 installations available for its large area wireless internet installations and hotspots. 5by5 Wireless is a duplex wireless communications system is a 100% hardware solution. It affords greater data throughput and wireless coverage up to 20 miles (32 km) - for a total circular coverage area of 1,250 square miles or 3,200 square kilometers from one low cost base station.

Greg Waite, CEO of InventionShare™, announced today that 5by5 Wireless will soon have LTE and DOCSIS 3.1 installations available for integration into its large area wireless internet installations and hotspots.

First released in October 2013, and updated several times since, the DOCSIS 3.1 suite of specifications supports capacities of at least 10 Gbit/s downstream and 1 Gbit/s upstream using 4096 QAM. The new specs do away with 6 MHz and 8 MHz wide channel spacing and, instead, use narrower (20 kHz to 50 kHz wide) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) subcarriers which can be bonded inside a block spectrum that could end up being about 200 MHz wide. DOCSIS 3.1 technology also includes new energy management features that will help the cable industry reduce its energy usage.

"5by5 Wireless is a perfect complement to those manufacturers looking to support the use of their devices throughout the home and through smart city/rural applications. A 5by5 Wireless installation can guarantee wireless support for those devices through the creation of large area hot-spots where all devices and circuits can communicate over large distances."

Greg Waite, CEO

LTE stands for Long Term Evolution and is a registered trademark owned by ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) for the wireless data communications technology and a development of the GSM/UMTS standards. The goal of LTE is to increase the capacity and speed of wireless data networks using new DSP (digital signal processing) techniques and modulations that were developed around the turn of the millennium. A further goal is the redesign and simplification of the network architecture to an IP-based system with significantly reduced transfer latency compared to the 3G architecture. The LTE wireless interface is incompatible with 2G and 3G networks so it must be operated on a separate radio spectrum. 5by5 Wireless, however, is unique and can supply concurrent applications of LTE and DOCSIS.

5by5 Wireless installations also provide significant value in that they can provide five times greater wireless internet coverage and economical wireless internet connectivity, and it uses the UHF 300-1000 MHz frequency spectrum. Developed by a team of experienced technology entrepreneurs with many years’ experience in wireless communications, the full duplex wireless communications system is a 100% hardware solution. It affords greater data throughput and wireless coverage up to 20 miles (32 km) - for a total circular coverage area of 1,250 square miles or 3,200 square kilometers from one low cost base station. The 5by5 Wireless circuit also can provide full duplex over all spectrum to all wireless communications devices; it is platform agnostic, providing reliable communications support wherever and whenever it is required.

Mr. Waite said that 5by5 Wireless is a perfect complement to those manufacturers looking to support the use of their devices throughout the home and through smart city/rural applications. A 5by5 Wireless installation can guarantee wireless support for those devices through the creation of large area hot-spots where all devices and circuits can communicate over large distances.

Mr. Waite said, “Hybrid DOCSIS and LTE solutions are essential given the benefits of line of site LTE in more densely populated towns and small cities and the extending the benefits of near line of site DOCSIS/UHF in huge scarcely populated rural and remote areas around those towns. There’s a huge market opportunity for countries wanting to have hybrid solutions that include large area wireless applications, including rural internet installation, islands, emerging countries and underserviced areas.”

5y5 Wireless is now working on installations in over 40 countries and has 15 installations in Canada and will soon announce its first African and Central American country installations.

InventionShare is looking for telcos and interested partners who want increased market share, profitability and competitive advantages offered by installing a 5by5 installation, partnering or acquiring 5by5 Wireless.
